Coronavirus: Please help and avoid coming to the tax office
In order to reduce direct contacts, the information centres of the tax offices throughout Austria will be open only to a limited extent. The tax administration will increasingly emphasise telephone and digital customer service.
As a rule, most of the customers’ concerns can be addressed quickly and easily online. No personal visit is necessary – especially when it comes to employee tax assessment, for which you have five years anyway.
Should a personal visit be urgently required, however, we ask that you make an appointment in advance
- online at bmf.gv.at/appointments
- by telephone on 050 233 700 (Mondays to Fridays, 7:30 to 15:30 o’clock and Fridays, 7:30 to 12:00 o’clock )
With finanzonline.at, the tax office comes to the citizens, who can handle all official matters with a mouse click from any internet access, around the clock. If you have any questions, our hotline is available on 050 233 790 (Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 o’clock throughout Austria at local rates).
Various form sheets, brochures and guides can be ordered from bmf.gv.at/online order.
In the interest of the health and safety of all, our paramount goal is to reduce personal contact. Everyone can make a contribution to this.
