Important information: Applications for turnover compensation temporarily suspended
Precisely during challenging times such as these, it is essential to provide rapid and straightforward assistance and to adapt the numerous assistance, investment and relief measures to the differing requirements and on-the-ground realities of the different sectors. Through turnover compensation, which has been developed within a very short time, direct assistance is being provided to businesses directly affected by the current official closures. To date, over 30,000 applications have been made, in a total volume of around EUR 900 million.
Due to the expansion of lockdown, the options for turnover compensation are also being adapted and extended. Our aim is to structure turnover compensation to make it as straightforward as possible for all those affected. For this purpose, with this measure too, calculation will be undertaken on an automated basis by the Tax Administration. It is therefore necessary for us to take the current template offline and temporarily suspend applications until the system has been adjusted to incorporate the expanded measures.
As a result of the associated programming work, applications for turnover compensation with therefore be temporarily suspended. As soon as applications are open again via FinanzOnline, we will immediately issue a notification to this effect.
The technical adjustments will have no impact on applications already made, which will continue to be processed and paid without any interruption.
