Administration
Administration is a key factor to spread digital transformation in society as a whole. The main objective is to involve all players in the process, ensure knowhow transfer between the administrative units and develop a common strategy at all levels of public administration.
The Federal Ministry concentrates all initiatives and is acting as an instigator and stimulator. Accordingly, digitalisation at the administrative level aims to foster process automation and enhances internal communication. A major aspect is improving ways to interact with citizens and businesses, by emphasising simplification and intuitive use of administrative services.

An overview of the Austrian e-Government strategy, the underlying tools and the challenges can be found in the "The ABC guide of eGovernment in Austria (PDF, 10 MB)".
"Administration on the Net - The ABC guide of eGovernment in Austria" is a publication published by the Digital Austria Platform in 2017. It is currently under revision.
Numerous links and information are now being updated due to current innovations in the field of e-Government (e.g. the central platform oesterreich.gv.at).
