Austrian Progress Report 2026

In accordance with Article 21 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1263, annual progress reports must be prepared and published by 30 April of each year. These contain information on the progress made in implementing the fiscal structural plan, in particular the net expenditure path and the relevant set of reforms and investments underlying an extension of the adjustment period.

The Austrian Progress Report 2026 covers the years 2024 to 2026 and reports on the steps already taken or still to be taken to implement the Austrian medium-term Fiscal Structural Plan 2025 to 2029. It contains the following elements in particular:

  • Information on the progress made in implementing the Austrian net expenditure path as defined by the Council.
  • Information on the implementation of the reform and investment commitments underlying an extension of the adjustment period.
  • Information on the implementation of comprehensive reforms and investments to implement the Country-Specific Recommendations, the common priorities of the Union, including the European Pillar of Social Rights, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
