Climate policy is a key focus of the work of the Ministry of Finance. By engaging in numerous climate-policy measures and projects, the Federal Ministry of Finance is making a decisive contribution to achieving Austria's climate goals.
In this way, the Ministry is upholding its responsibility for the environment and for future generations. Climate change mitigation and ensuring Austria's status as an attractive location are not a contradiction but rather involve and complement one another. "Green jobs" also represent an area for enormous potential and should be subsidised in a targeted manner. Similarly, the use of innovative and low-emission technologies is set to become an ever-more attractive prospect for companies.
